A Gentle Return to Balance

A quiet invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — held by forest, river, and open sky.

Simala Retreat, Baigunay | West Sikkim
18–21 March

Day 1 – Arrival & Grounding

Guests arrive at Bagdogra Airport and are transferred to Simala Retreat.
Herbal drinks, open views, and unhurried check-ins set the tone on arrival.
In the afternoon, the group gathers by the river for a gentle welcome circle and orientation, followed by a slow walk through forest paths and along flowing water.
As evening settles, the retreat opens with a gentle Acro Yoga session — a supported, beginner-friendly practice focused on trust, connection, and playful awareness.
Dinner is served in a calm, open setting.

Day 2 – Sunrise & Awakening

Before dawn, the group travels to Chakung to witness the first light on the valley and Kanchenjunga — a quiet, expansive beginning to the day.
On returning to Simala, the morning continues with a soft yoga session post sunrise, allowing the body to open gradually after the early hours.
After breakfast by the pool, the late morning and early afternoon remain open for rest, journaling, wandering the property, or sitting beside the river.
In the afternoon, a guided Animal Flow session explores mindful, ground-based movement focused on mobility, strength, and coordination.
The evening remains unhurried, followed by dinner at the retreat.

Day 3 – Reflection & Devotion

The day begins with a gentle morning yoga session, grounding breath and movement.
After breakfast, the late morning and afternoon remain open for rest and reflection.
In the evening, the group travels to Rinchenpong Monastery to observe evening prayers, followed by a guided meditation session, allowing the atmosphere and stillness to settle deeply.
Returning to Simala, the day concludes with a calm Animal Flow session, supporting integration through slow, fluid movement.
Dinner follows, shared and unhurried.

Day 4 – Closing & Departure

The retreat concludes with a final morning yoga practice, helping integrate the experience into body and mind.
After breakfast, guests are transferred back to Bagdogra Airport, departing at their own pace.
